Turkey's Chickpea Imports Maintain Easy Tone
PANAMA - Oct 29/24 - SNS -- Imports of chickpeas for Turkey shrank versus the previous month in August, trade data from Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT) shows.
Imports during the month reached 3,654 metric tons (MT), down from 31,619 MT the previous month. This boosted imports so far during the calendar year to 177,976, down 4% last year.
Mexico was the top supplier, supplying 2,579 MT. India was the second most important shipper shipping 351 MT, followed by Bulgaria at 264 MT.
