Lentil Exports From Canada Reveal Strong Performance
PANAMA - Nov 5/24 - SNS -- So far during the marketing year, with lentil shipments for Canada rose sharply, jumping compared to the previous month in September, judging from official data from Statistics Canada.
Shipments totalled 212,599 metric tons (MT) during the month, up 483% from the 36,464 MT exported the previous month. Exports so far total 249,063 MT, compared to 248,270 in the same period the previous marketing year.
India was the most important destination, buying 80,961 MT. Turkey was the second most important importer buying 40,554 MT, followed by United Arab Emirates at 18,075 MT.
