Chickpea Exports From Australia Post Better Result
PANAMA - Nov 7/24 - SNS -- Australia's movement of chickpeas during September rocketed compared to the previous month, according to data from Australia Bureau of Statistics.
Exports reached 29,026 metric tons (MT) in the month, up 87% from the 15,533 MT shipped the previous month. Movement so far total 421,347 MT, versus 615,456 during the last marketing year.
India was the number one destination, taking 13,089 MT. Pakistan was the second most important consumer buying 9,050 MT, followed by Bangladesh at 2,351 MT.
