PANAMA - Dec 5/24 - SNS -- So far during this marketing year revealed a stronger result, with chickpea export shipments for Australia rose sharply, soaring relative to the previous month in October, according to data from Australia Bureau of Statistics.
Movement for the month reached 109,622 metric tons (MT), up from 25,692 MT the prior month. This increased export sales so far during the marketing year to 527,698, down 24% last year.
India was the largest consumer, taking 82,418 MT. Pakistan was the second most important importer taking 14,384 MT, followed by Bangladesh at 3,948 MT.
