PANAMA - Dec 5/24 - SNS -- At this point in the marketing year are keeping up their firmer performance, with lentil exports for Canada leapt compared to the previous month in October, judging from trade data from Statistics Canada.
Shipments for the month totalled 332,400 metric tons (MT), up from 195,970 MT the prior month. This boosted export sales so far during the marketing year to 564,834, up 17% last year.
The biggest consumer for the month was India, buying 126,077 MT. Turkey was the second most important destination taking 67,639 MT, followed by United Arab Emirates at 43,890 MT.
