Chickpea Exports From Canada Post Improved Oucome
PANAMA - Dec 5/24 - SNS -- At this point in the marketing year revealed a impeoved result, with chickpea movement from Canada made modest gains, inching up compared to the previous month in October, according to statistics from Statistics Canada.
Exports totalled 12,516 metric tons (MT) in the month, up 1% from the 12,405 MT shipped the previous month. Movement so far total 32,740 MT, versus 47,997 in the same period the previous marketing year.
The number one consumer throughout the month was United States, taking 2,558 MT. Italy was the second most important importer taking 2,158 MT, followed by Turkey at 1,938 MT.
