Little Reaction In Chickpeas
PANAMA - Dec 6/24 - SNS -- Chickpea markets closed out the week's trading unchanged to firmer despite expectations of increased production in North America and Australia.
Kabuli chickpea markets in North American were somewhat pleased with the final production estimates for 2024 from Statistics Canada.
Based on a direct survey of farmers, it pegged this year's harvest at almost 286,700 metric tons (MT) from 480,500 acres, up from 172,500 MT from 315,500 acres last year.
