Field Pea Exports From Turkey Sustain Strong Performance
PANAMA - Dec 11/24 - SNS -- Export shipments of field peas for Turkey showed modest gains, advancing relative to the previous month in October, official data from Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT) reveals.
Exports totalled 33,176 metric tons (MT) in the month, up 5% from the 31,503 MT shipped the previous month. Export sales so far total 248,706 MT, compared to 231,094 in the same period the previous calendar year.
The biggest consumer during the month was Iraq, buying 13,454 MT. United States was the second most important consumer taking 5,904 MT, followed by Cameroon at 4,000 MT.
