PANAMA - Dec 11/24 - SNS -- Turkey's imports of lentils during October rocketed compared to the previous month, judging from data from Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT).
Total imports for the month amounted to 55,545 metric tons (MT), up 126% from the previous month's total of 24,576. So far imports have amounted to 429,490 MT, down from 745,171 in the same period the last calendar year.
The biggest origin during the month was Canada, shipping 22,374 MT. Kazakhstan was the second most important supplier supplying 19,178 MT, followed by Russia at 11,875 MT.
