Chickpea Exports From Turkey Record Soft Month
PANAMA - Dec 11/24 - SNS -- Turkey's export shipments of chickpeas in October slipped compared to the previous month, according to data from Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT).
Exports reached 31,546 metric tons (MT) during the month, down 3% from the 32,517 MT exported the previous month. Movement so far total 290,364 MT, versus 220,220 during the previous calendar year.
Iraq was the most important buyer during the month, receiving 11,133 MT. Algeria was the second most important buyer buying 3,188 MT, followed by Italy at 2,296 MT.
