PANAMA - Dec 11/24 - SNS -- So far during the current calendar year posted a easier performance, with lentil movement from Turkey dropped compared to the previous month in October, judging from official trade data from Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT).
Shipments reached 54,656 metric tons (MT) in the month, down 9% from the 60,024 MT shipped the previous month. Exports so far total 531,930 MT, versus 450,715 in the same period the previous calendar year.
Recent movement statistics reported Iraq was number one buyer, buying 16,005 MT in the month. Algeria was the second most important destination buying 6,786 MT, followed by Egypt at 6,026 MT.
