PANAMA - Dec 11/24 - SNS -- At this point in the calendar year posted a better performance, with sunflower seed imports for Turkey made massive improvement, rising relative to the previous month in October, judging from trade data from Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT).
Total imports throughout the month reached 20,891 metric tons (MT), up 281% from the previous month's total of 5,479. So far imports have totalled 263,367 MT, down from 701,402 during the last calendar year.
Other was the most important supplier, supplying 6,975 MT. Yugoslavia was the second most important origin shipping 6,783 MT, followed by Romania at 5,416 MT.
