Chickpeas Moderately Mixed
PANAMA - Dec 13/24 - SNS -- International chickpea markets were moderately mixed during the past week, with kabuli chickpea markets unchanged while nominal asking prices in export markets for desi chickpeas eased.
Markets for kabuli types continue to be influenced by tight supplies of large caliber product from Mexico and uncertainty about the depth of seeding interest in that class in India.
So far, plantings of all classes of chickpeas during the current rabi planting window in India started the week ahead of last year.
