Relaxed Mood In Peas
PANAMA - Dec 20/24 - SNS -- International field pea markets finished the week's trading on a relaxed note, with most market participants more interested in the holiday period closing out the year.
Some market participants remain hopeful India will extend the shipping period for yellow peas beyond the current December 31 deadline. Despite the previous week's rumors, no change was announced by week's end.
On the other hand, available supplies of yellow peas available for export have tightened considerably because of excellent movement. In Canada, for example farmer have shipped over half of all peas available on their farms at the start of the marketing year.
