Mixed Note In Lentils
PANAMA - Dec 20/24 - SNS -- Lentil markets closed entered the final days of the calendar year on a mixed note against seasonally slower trading activity.
Exporters and processors continue to work to cover in shipping commitments through the first half of January, but the pace of buying from growers, especially in North America, has slowed.
There is moderate interest in the final USDA production estimate for 2024. Due for release on January 10, the report is not expected to contain major revisions from the September forecast.
