PANAMA - Dec 20/24 - SNS -- Global dry edible beans finished the week's trading unchanged to slightly firmer, with many exporters adopting a defensive pricing posture as markets enter the December and January holiday period.
This was reflected in the U.S. dry edible bean price index which managed a 1.1 point gain on the week, closing at 98.3.
By contrast, markets for other pulses were easier, with the result the spot global price index slipped 0.3 points during the week to close at 108.5, while the Canadian pulse price indices eased 0.1 points to finish at 95.1.
