Lentil Exports From Canada Record Slow Performance

PANAMA - Jan 7/25 - SNS -- Canada's movement of lentils in November were well down, plunging versus the previous month, judging from data from Statistics Canada.

Total exports for the month amounted to 265,544 metric tons (MT), down 20% from the previous month's total of 332,400. So far shipments have amounted to 830,378 MT, up from 731,582 during the previous marketing year.

The latest movement data showed India was largest consumer, taking 137,277 MT. Turkey was the second most important consumer buying 25,840 MT, followed by Pakistan at 14,252 MT.
