Canada's Chickpea Exports Post Improved Oucome
PANAMA - Jan 7/25 - SNS -- Export shipments of chickpeas from Canada rose sharply, soaring compared to the previous month in November, official data from Statistics Canada reveals.
Export sales for the month reached 20,443 metric tons (MT), up from 12,516 MT the prior month. This increased export sales so far during the marketing year to 53,183, down 25% last year.
The top buyer for the month was Pakistan, receiving 5,289 MT. Turkey was the second most important importer buying 4,311 MT, followed by United States at 2,109 MT.
