PANAMA - Jan 9/25 - SNS -- At this point in the current marketing year continued a stronger trend, with chickpea shipments for Australia recorded huge gains, soaring compared to the previous month in November, judging from the latest data from Australia Bureau of Statistics.
Shipments reached 442,603 metric tons (MT) for the month, up 338% from the 100,996 MT exported the previous month. Movement so far total 442,603 MT, versus 31,607 during the previous marketing year.
India was the largest buyer during the month, buying 349,904 MT. Pakistan was the second most important consumer taking 50,283 MT, followed by Bangladesh at 21,243 MT.
