17% Increase In Maple Syrup Harvest

WASHINGTON - Jan 10/25 - SNS -- The 2024 United States maple syrup production totaled 5.86 million gallons, up 17% from the previous season for comparable States, according to the USDA.

The number of taps totaled 17.1 million, up 5% from the 2023 total for comparable States. Yield per tap was 0.342 gallon, up 0.035 gallon from the previous season for comparable States.

Estimates began for maple syrup in 2024 for Connecticut, Indiana, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Ohio, and West Virginia.
