Sunflower Seed Imports By China Extend Soft Tone

PANAMA - Jan 13/25 - SNS -- Imports of sunflower seeds by China were well down, plunging relative to the previous month in November, the most recent data from General Customs Administration of China reveals.

Total imports in the month amounted to 9,448 metric tons (MT), down 24% from the previous month's total of 12,494. So far imports have reached 132,198 MT, down from 256,707 during the last calendar year.

The most recent trade statistics showed Kazakhstan was most important shipper, shipping 7,548 MT. Bulgaria was the second most important exporter selling 1,900 MT, followed by France at 0 MT.
