Modest Easing In Lentils
PANAMA - Jan 17/25 - SNS -- Global lentil markets finished the week's trading on a modestly easier note against typically light trading activity in the opening weeks of the calendar year.
North American markets are focussed on the current round of winter farm shows and annual meetings of farmer based commodity associations to get a better sense of the mood of growers.
Though global seedings and production are expected to be down this year, available supplies may be little changed because of recent increases in residual stocks of all classes of lentils.
