PANAMA - Jan 20/25 - SNS -- Imports of lentils by Turkey showed modest gains, advancing relative to the previous month in November, data from Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT) reports.
Imports reached 57,882 metric tons (MT) in the month, up 4% from the 55,545 MT exported the previous month. Imports so far total 487,372 MT, compared to 827,852 in the same period the previous calendar year.
Kazakhstan was the top exporter, supplying 32,736 MT. Russia was the second most important exporter shipping 18,034 MT, followed by Canada at 5,195 MT.
