Lentil Exports From Turkey Maintain Strong Performance

PANAMA - Jan 20/25 - SNS -- So far during this calendar year are maintaining their firmer performance, with lentil exports for Turkey advanced relative to the previous month in November, judging from the latest statistics from Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT).

Exports reached 58,179 metric tons (MT) during the month, up 6% from the 54,646 MT shipped the previous month. Export sales so far total 590,099 MT, versus 505,442 in the same period the previous calendar year.

Sudan was the biggest consumer, buying 11,210 MT. Iraq was the second most important buyer receiving 10,957 MT, followed by Algeria at 7,516 MT.
