Turkey's Sunflower Seed Imports Continue Easy Trend
PANAMA - Jan 20/25 - SNS -- At this point in this calendar year added to a softer trend, with sunflower seed imports by Turkey were little changed, dropping compared to the previous month in November, judging from the latest statistics from Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT).
Imports reached 19,287 metric tons (MT) for the month, down 8% from the 20,891 MT exported the previous month. Imports so far total 282,654 MT, versus 714,531 during the previous calendar year.
Recent trade statistics revealed Other was top supplier, supplying 16,064 MT for the month. Romania was the second most important origin supplying 1,195 MT, followed by China at 847 MT.
