PANAMA - Jan 20/25 - SNS -- Turkey's imports of chickpeas during November sank versus the previous month, judging from data from Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT).
Total imports during the month reached 23,361 metric tons (MT), down 28% from the previous month's total of 32,352. So far imports have reached 252,595 MT, down from 287,852 during the last calendar year.
The latest movement data revealed Russia was most important export origin, shipping 9,563 MT. Mexico was the second most important exporter supplying 5,811 MT, followed by Kazakhstan at 3,532 MT.
